Buying organically produced food and wearing organically produced clothing is the way of the future. Despite its wholesome, ‘natural’ image, cotton uses the most pesticides and fertilizers of any other crop. It has been estimated that a conventionally produced t-shirt requires about 1/3 pound of pesticides, many of which can cause cancer and other disease.

As we have been finding out ever to our detriment, everything on this planet is interconnected. The emphasis of organic farming is sustainability of soil and water resources and working in harmony with nature. As consumers, we have a tremendous amount of power to direct the future of our world.
